Journey to the Sky

Version 3.3, Journey to the Sky, went live on 21 October 2026. It is split in two halves, each with its own featured S-rank agent. Phoenix, a Fire Anomaly agent, runs the first half. Severian, a Wind Attack agent, takes the second, with a trait that stands out: Severian dodges automatically and counter-attacks, which takes some of the timing pressure off your hands. One Anomaly agent and one Attack agent in the same version means both styles of team get something.

Now on Steam

Since June 2026 you can install Zenless Zone Zero through Steam as well as the HoYoverse launcher. That was a first for HoYoverse. For you it means a library entry, Steam updates and one launcher fewer on your desktop. The game itself is the same either way, so pick whichever you already have open. If you run Genshin Impact through the HoYoverse launcher, nothing stops you using that instead.

How the pulls work

The rules are short, and they are worth reading before the first banner tempts you.

  • An S-rank agent is guaranteed within 90 pulls on an agent banner.
  • An A-rank or better drops at least once every 10 pulls.
  • Teams are three agents, so one strong pull changes a large share of your roster.

The honest part: a hub, not a world

If you expect a large open map, you will not find one. New Eridu is closer to a hub: streets and districts you move through, with combat in its own stages. That keeps the game focused, and it keeps the download smaller than its open-world cousins. It also means exploration is not the draw here. Combat and the cast are. Sessions can be short, since you pick a stage and fight rather than travel to it.

Will it run on your PC?

The requirements are moderate. A GTX 970 and 8 GB of RAM are the minimum, and you need about 75 GB of space, on an SSD if you can manage it. A fairly old desktop will qualify. If you have been waiting for a HoYoverse game that does not ask for more than 100 GB, this is the one.

If you want fast combat with a short setup and a small cast per fight, 3.3 is a good moment to install. Zenless Zone Zero is free on PC through Steam or the HoYoverse launcher.
