A city with something wrong in it

Neverness to Everness, or NTE, comes from Hotta Studio and Perfect World. It launched on 29 April 2026 on PC, PS5, iOS and Android, and it runs on Unreal Engine 5. The setting is a modern city where anomalies have started to appear. You investigate them, fight them, and drive between them. Driving is part of how you get around, not a side activity you can ignore. That mix of an ordinary city and things that should not be in it is the whole premise, and the game leans into it.

Nanally and the two free ones

Nanally was the first limited S-Class, a close-range fighter. Beyond Nanally, two characters join without a pull. One comes through the city tycoon system. The other is a login reward. Nanally is the one you pull for; the other two are the ones you earn. For a free game, that is a decent starting roster before you touch a banner, and it gives you time to learn the combat before deciding whether to spend.

Version 1.4

The current update, 1.4, For Whom the Verses Mourn, arrived on 30 September 2026 in two phases. Six months after launch, the shape of the game is settled:

  • Explore the city on foot or by car.
  • Fight the anomalies that appear across it.
  • Team up with other players in co-op.
Anomalies range from street-level fights to larger encounters.

The honest part: it wants a recent PC

Unreal Engine 5 has a cost. NTE rules out a lot of laptops and older desktops that run other games on this site without trouble. If your PC is near the line, expect to lower settings, and check the numbers below before you start a 110 GB download. A large install on a machine that cannot run it is the kind of mistake worth making only once.

Will it run on your PC?

The minimum is a GTX 1660 with 16 GB of RAM, and the install takes about 110 GB. Those are minimums, not comfortable targets, so a card from the last few years will serve you better.

If your hardware clears that bar, NTE is one of the few free games where a city is the main character. It is free on PC.
